Explore Tiout and Taroudant on a Day Adventure from 08:00 to 17:00 Departing from Agadir.
Taroudant, located 86 km east of Agadir, is nestled between the High Atlas mountains to the north and the Anti-Atlas to the east. Often referred to as the "little Marrakech," it reveals its charm behind red earthen ramparts, with the snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas in the background.
The souks and squares of Taroudant provide a mystical and authentically Maghreb atmosphere. It serves as a meeting point for Berbers who trade goods from the fertile plains of Oued Souss. There are no must-see tourist sites here, but the medina invites leisurely strolls. The souks, while vibrant, are less frantic than those in Marrakech, and the surrounding mountains make it an excellent base for hiking. Just 65 km from Al-Massira Airport, Taroudant is a delightful stop.
The journey to Taroudant is enjoyable in a minibus or car. The landscape is dotted with argan trees populated by goats and citrus orchards.
In Taroudant, we will explore the artisanal souk on foot, discovering the medina in all its splendor. Women dressed in indigo veils evoke the Saharan caravans of yesteryear.
After our visit to Taroudant, we will continue our journey to the oasis of Tiout, located 30 km away. This village, with its ochre houses, offers stunning scenery. A donkey ride through the palm grove precedes lunch at the kasbah, where an exceptional panoramic view awaits.
After approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes spent in Tiout, we will return to Agadir.
